The CIN Character
Italy includes a single CIN (Codice di Controllo) check character before the bank code. This is a national check separate from the IBAN's MOD-97 check digits, calculated from the ABI, CAB, and account number using Italian banking standard tables.
Major Italian Banks
Intesa Sanpaolo uses ABI code 03069; UniCredit uses 02008; Banco BPM uses 05034.
